GIROSIL® RoofCoat RC is a solvent free coating that provides outstanding resistance to weathering to retain lasting flexibility and adhesion without cracking or peeling. It can easily accommodate sheet movement and remains unaffected by UV and temperature extremes. Fully moisture tolerant, it can be applied in the wet and hardens to a tough elastic coating with high impact and dirt resistance..

It is the ideal product for reinstating a protective coating to profiled metal cladding where its standard 200 micron application will provide protection equal to or better than the original coating.

Instructions for Use:

GIROSIL® RC can be applied to substrates that are structurally sound and provide a clean, dry and stable base for re-coating. GIROSIL® RC can be spray, brush or roller applied in one coat ensuring required coverage and thickness is achieved. Peel adhesion tests should be carried out to ensure the surface to be treated is suitable for application. Priming is not generally required unless indicated by the on-site adhesion test.

UV resistance:

UV makes coatings hard and brittle, limiting their ability to expand and contract resulting in loss of adhesion. GIROSIL® RC is completely resistant to sunlight and UV radiation, ensuring enduring flexibility and adhesion.

Water resistance:

GIROSIL® RC repels surface water, promoting flow and discouraging the formation of ponding and standing water.


GIROSIL® uses laminar flake technology to provide matchless corrosion control.

GIROSIL® RC Approved Applicators:

Tritec Building Contractors Ltd have been fully trained and approved by Giromax with the task of installing Girosil® RC. When applying Girosil RC we start by pressure cleaning the substrate and ensure it is structurally sound. We then carry out an adhesion test and this will determine if any additional primers are required, generally primers are not required. Application of GIROSIL® RC can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray and can be coated in one single coat as long as it achieves the 200 microns DFT thickness specified by Giromax. Once the Girosil RC application has been successfully installed an experienced Giromax surveyor will check and sign off the work as long as it meets Giromax specifications.

GIROSIL® BaseCoat: One-part anti-corrosion coating, brush or roller applied onto ST2 prepared steel substrate. Tolerant of damp and humid conditions.

GIROSIL® SE: Gun-grade one-part modified polymer sealant incorporating laminar flake technology. Tooled with RoofCoat RC for lap sealing.
