Following thorough preparations our operatives will apply Seamsil® 100 to completely encapsulate the defective lap joints, preventing further water ingress and providing maximum protection against further deterioration. HD Sharmans Seamsil® 100 cut edge corrosion system was designed to provide effective long- life solutions to treat the corrosion that forms at the vulnerable cut edges and overlap joins of metal roof sheets. Water is usually trapped through capillary action and can’t evaporate, it then begins to dissolve the protective zinc layer causing corrosion to begin, lifting the coating away from the steel substrate and compromising integrity of the roof.
